AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 16-1984 ESTABLISHING SCHEDULE OP RATES AND CHARGES TO BE COLLECTED BY THE TOWN OP MOORESVILLE FROM OWNERS OP PROPERTY SERVED BY THE SEWAGE WORXS OP THE CIVIL TOWN OP MOORESVILLE F 1U';' operates and maintains a sanitary sewer system; and WHEREAS, the Town Council for the Civil Town of Mooresville WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish a schedule of rates and to amend the rates for charges to produce sUfficient revenues to pay expenses of maintenance and operation, to pay the principal and interest on outstanding revenue bonds, and to provide funds for necessary replacements and improvements to the sewage works; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Civil Town of Mooresville: Section 6 of Ordinance 16-1984 shall be amended as follows with all other sections of Ordinance 16-1984 to remain Unchanged; I. Section 6. Each user connecting to the Town's sanitary sewage works system shall pay a connection fee based on an "equiValent development unit" (EDU Factor) pursuant to Attachment Number 1 for a single family residence, which is hereby initially fixed and estimated at Nine Hundred Dollars ($900.00). This unit cost per EDU assumes an average daily EDU Waste water flow of 300 gallons per day at a unit cost for additional waste water treatment capacity of Three Dollars ($3.00) per gallon of plant capacity. "- New sewer connections in conjunction with their designated type of service referenced in Attachment Number 1 will presently pay a connection cost based on the mUltiplicgtion of the listed EDU Factor times Nine HUndred Dollars ($900.00). The equivalent user cost, may, from time to time, be updated and changed by the Town.
