<br />· <br /> <br />Business locations, including both businesses and industries, <br />are indicated on the map on the preceding page. In town, <br />business locations are concentrated along Indiana and Main <br />Streets. Businesses are also concentrated in shopping centers <br />south of South Street, at the west end of Carlisle Street on <br />State Road 267, at the east end of St. Clair Street and on High <br />Street east of Madison Street. <br /> <br />Concentrations of mixed business and industrial uses are found <br />in the eastern part of town around the railroad tracks and along <br />Bridge Street and Old State Road 67. Outside of town, business <br />and industrial uses are scattered along State Road 67. <br /> <br />There are approximately 240 employers in the planning area, and <br />they provide approximately 4150 jobs. Of that total, IBOO (43%) <br />are service jabs, 1600 (39%) are jobs in manufacturing and <br />repair, and 750 (18%) are jobs in retail trade. <br /> <br />While 85% of the employers in Mooresville have fewer than twenty <br />employees, there are five employers with one hundred or more <br />employees. The largest are Nice-Pak, Inc. with 470 employees <br />and the Mooresville Consolidated School Corporation with 420 <br />employees. Automotive Armature Company and Federal Mogul <br />Corporation each employ approximately 250 people.
