<br />· <br /> <br />-~ <br /> <br />Traffic ~ Circulation <br /> <br />GOAL: <br />That the Town of Mooresville shall provide a system of major <br />thoroughfares and appropriate rights-of-way necessary to <br />accommodate future needs and improve current traffic flows to <br />accomplish easy and safe access to all areas. <br /> <br />Policy 1, <br />When considering a change of zoning, Mooresville's boards <br />and commissions should evaluate the impact of traffic <br />resulting from a proposed land use, including effects <br />throughout the town's right-of-way system and effects on <br />adjacent and nearby land uses. <br /> <br />Policy 2, <br />Rights-of-way should be of appropriate location, <br />configuration and width required to support traffic <br />generated by land uses consistent with the Comprehensive <br />Plan. <br /> <br />Policy 3, <br />Sidewalks are desirable in all residential and business <br />areas. <br /> <br />Policy 4: <br />· The number, spacing and timing of intersections and traffic <br />signals along State Road 67 shall be controlled to <br />facilitate traffic flow. <br /> <br />Policy 5: <br />Access roads may be required along State Road 67 to <br />facilitate traffic flow. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Development Goals and Policies 21 <br />
