<br />. <br /> <br />Housinq and Services <br /> <br />GOAL: <br />That the Town of Mooresville shall provide adequate housing, <br />shopping, education, recreation and protection for citizens of <br />all ages and means. <br /> <br />Policy 1: <br />Residential land uses should be located away from but <br />convenient to general business and industry. <br /> <br />Policy 2, <br />Residential areas should be serviced by rights-of-way that <br />provide easy and sate access to business areas and major <br />thoroughfares. <br /> <br />Policy 3, <br />The right-of-way system that services residential areas <br />should be adequate for the access of fire, safety and other <br />emergency vehicles. <br /> <br />Policy 4, <br />SChools, recreation and shopping areas should be located in <br />appropriate proximity to serve the needs of residential <br />areas. <br /> <br />. Policy 5: <br />Land with unique amenities, such as interesting topography <br />or bodies of water, should be preserved and developed as <br />residential. <br /> <br />POlicy 6, <br />The density of residential land uses should facilitate the <br />efficient expansion of utilities, rights-of-way and other <br />infrastructure and public services. <br /> <br />Policy 7: <br />The pace of development should be consistent with the <br />town's ability to provide or to plan for adequate services, <br /> <br />Development Goals and Policies 22 <br />
