<br />process waters may be discharged upon approval of the <br />Superintendent and the State of Indiana into a storm sewer, <br />or natural outlet. No person shall discharge or cause to <br />be discharged any storm water, surface water, ground water, <br />roof runoff, or subsurface drainage into any sanitary sewer. <br /> <br />223. No person shall discharge or <br />of the following described <br />public sewers: <br /> <br />cause to be discharged any <br />waters or wastes to any <br /> <br />223.1 <br /> <br />223.2 <br /> <br />223.3 <br /> <br />223.4 <br /> <br />Any gasoline, benzene, naptha, fuel oil, or other <br />inflammable or explosive liquid, solid or gas, or <br />noxious or malodorous liquids, gases, or solids, <br />which either alone or by interaction are capable of <br />creating a public nuisance or hazard to life, or <br />are sufficient to prevent entry into the sewers for <br />their maintenance and repair. <br /> <br />Any waters or wastes having a pH lower than 5.0 or <br />higher than 9.0, or having any other corrosive <br />property capable of causing damage or hazard to <br />structures, equipment, and personnel of the sewage <br />works. <br /> <br />Solid or viscous substances which will or may cause <br />obstruction to the flow in a sewer or other <br />interference with the operation of the wastewater <br />system. <br /> <br />Any substance which causes a pass-through. <br /> <br />224. No person shall discharge or cause to be discharged the <br />following described substances, materials, waters, or wastes, <br />which shall include, but not be limited to, the substances set out <br />as follows: <br /> <br />224.1 <br /> <br />224.2 <br /> <br />224.3 <br /> <br />224.4 <br /> <br />224.5 <br /> <br />Any liquid or vapor having a temperature higher <br />than 1600F or with a temperature which will inhibit <br />biological activity in the wastewater treatment <br />plan resulting in interference; but in no case, <br />wastewater with a temperature which will cause the <br />raw wastewater in the affluent to the wastewater <br />treatment plant to exceed 1400F. <br /> <br />Any water or waste containing fats, wax, grease or <br />oils, whether emulsified or not, in excess of 50 <br />mg/l of which not more than 25 mg/1 is soluble <br />oils, or containing substances which may solidify <br />or become so highly viscous as to retard flow in <br />the sewer system at temperatures between 320 and <br />1500F (00 and 650C). <br /> <br />Any garbage that has not been properly shredded. <br />The installation and operation of any garbage <br />grinder (other than in a residence) may be subject <br />to the review and approval of the Superintendent. <br /> <br />Any waters or wastes containing strong acid iron <br />pickling wastes, or concentrated plating solutions <br />whether neutralized or not. <br /> <br />Any water or wastes exceeding the following maximum <br />allowable limits: <br /> <br />-10- <br />
