I ORDINANCE NO. if/!?' , 1987 AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CIVIL TOWN OF MOORESVILLE, INDIANA, PROVIDING FOR NO PARKING AND STREET CLEANING WHEREAS, the Civil Town of Mooresville provides the service of street cleaning from time to time in order to clear the Town of the unsightly appearance created by excess dirt and debris, and to provide for the health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of the Civil Town of Mooresville; WHEREAS, to properly provide and perform this service it is necessary to have the streets cleared of all parked vehicles. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Board of Trustees of the Civil Town of Mooresville, Indiana as follows: Section No.1. (No Parking When Signs Are Posted or Other Notification of Street Cleaning is Made.) It shall be unlawful for any person to park, stand or fail to remove a vehicle of any kind parked along any street, alley, or highway when notification of intent to clean such street is made. Section No.2. (Time of Notification.) At least 48 hours shall elapse between the time of notification and the actual street cleaning with the exception of those areas where signs are posted on a permanent basis which shall include Main Street from its intersection with Monroe Street on the west side of town through its intersection with Indianapolis Road on the east side of town and Indiana Street from State Road 67 south to Carlisle as a northern boundary with no parking on these portions of Main and Indiana Street on Monday morning from 4:00 o'clock in the morning to 6:00 o'clock in the morning. That this section of Indiana and Main Street shall be posted and no further notice shall be required to any party prior to them being subject to the tow-in provisions of Section 4 of this ordinance, Section No.3. (Method of Cleaning.) Streets in residential areas shall be cleaned in an approved manner to allay any dust and to keep the operation as noiseless as possible. Streets may be cleaned on alternate sides on alternate days or in any manner which is deemed efficient by the Town Street Department.
