<br />r <br /> <br />determine the proper charge, The owner or other industrial user <br /> <br /> <br />shall furnish a central sampling point available to the town at all <br /> <br /> <br />times, <br /> <br /> <br />Normal domestic waste strength should not exceed a biochemical <br /> <br /> <br />oxygen demand of 200 parts per million of fluid or suspended solids <br /> <br /> <br />in excess of 250 parts per million of fluid. Any and all commercial <br /> <br /> <br />and industrial installations shall be so controlled and/or treated as <br /> <br /> <br />to the sewage strength that their effluent discharged to the Town's <br /> <br /> <br />sewer treatment works shall not exceed the normal domestic waste strength, <br /> <br /> <br />In the event of unusual circumstances which prevent adequate pretreatment <br /> <br /> <br />of industrial wastes, additional charges for treating stronger-than- <br /> <br /> <br />normal domestic wastes shall be as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />A. Special Use Rate Based Upon BOD: There shall be an additional <br /> <br /> <br />charge of twelve cents (12ç) per pound of biochemical oxygen demand in <br /> <br /> <br />excess of 200 PPM, <br /> <br /> <br />B. Special Use Rate Based upon Suspended Solids: There shall be <br /> <br /> <br />an additional charge of twelve cents (12ç) per pound of suspended solids <br /> <br /> <br />in excess of 250 PPM. <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION III: As to any sewer connection which is made from a lot, <br /> <br /> <br />parcel of real estate or building to one of the lateral sewers, trunk <br /> <br /> <br />sewers, interceptors or outfall sewers or extensions thereof, there <br /> <br /> <br />shall be a connection surcharge levied against said lot, parcel of <br /> <br /> <br />real estate or building as hereinafter set forth, The connection <br /> <br /> <br />surcharge set out hereinafter shall be over and above any and all <br /> <br /> <br />costs and charges for making the physical connection to the Town's <br /> <br /> <br />sanitary sewage works, Such charge shall be due and payable to the <br /> <br /> <br />Clerk-Treasurer at the time the connection is made to the To\m's <br /> <br /> <br />sanitary sewage works system. In the event the sewer connection charge <br /> <br /> <br />is not paid as herein required, service to the customers may be <br /> <br /> <br />terminated and such connection fee shall be collectable in manner as <br /> <br /> <br />provided by statute. The connection surcharges are as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br /> <br />I. For the purposes of this ordinance a single family residential <br /> <br /> <br />dwelling is defined as a detached building designed for or occupied <br /> <br /> <br />by one (I) family exclusively, and for each user connecting to the <br /> <br /> <br />TOvm's sanitary sewage works system, there shall be a tap-on fee of <br /> <br /> <br />Two Hundred Ninety Dollars ($290,00), <br /> <br />-5- <br />
