<br />r <br /> <br />Section 4: Alteration of water courses: <br /> <br />A, The Building Inspector shall notify <br /> <br />adjacent communities and the Indiana Department of Natural <br /> <br />Resources prior to any alteration or relocation of a water <br /> <br />course, and submit evidence of such notification to the <br /> <br />Federal Insurance Administration. <br /> <br />B. Require that maintenance is provided <br /> <br />within the altered or relocated portion of said water course, <br /> <br />so that the flood carrying capacity is not diminished. <br /> <br />Section 5: Interpretation of Boundaries: <br /> <br />The Building Inspector of the Town of Mooresville <br /> <br />shall make interpretation where needed as to the exact loca- <br /> <br />tion of the boundaries of the areas of special flood hazards, <br /> <br />such as where there appears to be conflict between a mapped <br /> <br />boundary and the actual field conditions. Any person con- <br /> <br />testing the location of the boundaries shall be given a <br /> <br />reasonable opportunity to appeal the interpretation as pro- <br /> <br />vided in Article V. <br /> <br />Section 6: Absence of Flood Elevation Data: <br /> <br />For improvement in designated A zones under Arti- <br /> <br />cle III. Section 2, in the absence of Federal Insurance Ad- <br /> <br />ministration base flood elevation date approved by Indiana <br /> <br />Department of Natural Resources; the building inspector shall <br /> <br />consider other available data to assure that residential <br /> <br />structures are elevated to at least two feet above base flood <br /> <br />level, and the elevation of floodproofing of non-residential <br /> <br />structures to at least two feet above the base flood level. <br /> <br />ARTICLE V. <br /> <br />VARIANCE PROCEDURE: <br />Section 1: Appeal Board: <br /> <br />A. The Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals, <br /> <br />as established by the Town of Mooresville, Indiana, shall <br /> <br />herein decide appeals and request for variances from the re- <br /> <br />quirements of this Ordinance. <br /> <br />B.
