<br />ORDINANCE # l- C &/ <br /> <br />Trn~ OF MOORESVILLE, INDIANA <br /> <br />DECLARATORY RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING <br />URBAN DEVELOPMENT AREA <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Indiana statute I.e. 6-1.1-12.l-1 through I.e. 6-I.l- <br /> <br />12.l-5 allows a partial abatement, over a ten year period, of <br /> <br />property taxes attributable to redevelopment or rehabilitation <br /> <br />activities in an Urban Development Area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, I.C. 6-1.l-l2.1-2 empowers this Town Board to <br /> <br />designate an Urban Development Area by following a procedure <br /> <br />involving the adoption of a declaratory resolution, submitting <br /> <br />said resolution to the Plan Commission, publishing public notice <br /> <br />and conducting a public hearing for the purpose of confirming <br /> <br />the declaratory resolution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, certain real estate described below, to be owned <br /> <br />by Nice-pak Products, Inc., is being considered for designation <br /> <br />as an Urban Development Area. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Town Board of the Town <br /> <br />of Mooresville, Indiana as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />It is hereby found that the following described <br /> <br />real estate, (insert description by legal and by street and <br /> <br />landmark description) <br /> <br />which is within the corporate limits of the Town of Mooresville, <br /> <br />has become undesirable for normal development and occupancy <br /> <br />because of a lack of development, a cessation of growth, a <br /> <br />deterioration of improvements and other factors which prevent <br /> <br />a normal development of the property. <br /> <br />Section 2. The above described property is hereby prelim- <br /> <br />inarily designated as an Urban Development Area. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall be submitted to the Plan <br /> <br />Commission for its comments pursuant to I.e. lB-7-7.1-13. <br />
