Property abutting one side of a street, and lying between the <br />two nearest intersecting or intercepting streets, or between the near- <br />est intersecting or intercepting street and railroad right-af-way, <br />waterway, or other definite barrier. <br /> <br />BUILDING SET BACK LINE. The line nearest the front of and across a <br />lot establishing the minimum open space to be provided between the <br />front line of buildings and structures and the front lot line. <br /> <br />TOWN. <br /> <br />The Town of Mooresville, Indiana~ <br /> <br />COMMISSION. <br /> <br />The Mooresville Town Plan Commission. <br /> <br />CUL-DE-SAC (Court or Dead End Street) A short street having one end <br />open to traffic and being permanently terminated by a vehicle turn- <br />around. <br /> <br />EASEMENT. The jurisdiction of the Mooresville <br />Plan Commission shall be regulatory over all land incorporated in the <br />Civil Town of Mooresville, Indiana, as of the date of the enactment <br />of this Ordinance, and jurisdiction shall thereafter be conferred upon <br />any territory annexed to the Civil Town of Mooresville, Indiana, sub- <br />sequent to the adoption of this Subdivision Control Ordinance. <br /> <br />LOT. <br />a unit <br /> <br />A portion of a subdivision, or other parcel of land intended <br />for transfer of ownership or development. <br /> <br />as <br /> <br />MASTER PLAN. The complete plan, or any of its parts, for the develop- <br />ment of the Civil Town of Mooresville as adopted in accordance with <br />Chapter 174, Acts of 1947, 'and all acts amendatory and supplemental <br />thereto, by authority of the General Assembly of Indiana, and known <br />as and recited as the "Zoning Regulation of Mooresville, Indiana -- <br />1972", being Ordinance Number 1 - 1972, <br /> <br />PERSON. A corporation, firm, partnership, association, organization <br />or any other group acting as a unit, as well as a natural person. <br /> <br />PLAT. <br />land, <br /> <br />A map or chart indicating the subdivision or resubdivision of <br />intended to be filed for record. <br /> <br />STREET, A right-of-way, other than an alley, dedicated or otherwise <br />legally established to the public use, usually affording the principle <br />means of aCcess to abutting property. A street may be designated as <br />a highway~thoroughfare, parkway, boulevard, road, avenue, lane, drive <br />or other appropriate name. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
