1213 <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion was made by <br />Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Beikman to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be on Tuesday, September 15, <br />2015, at P M. at Foville Government Center. <br />Mark Mathis, Council Pr <br />Sandra R. Perry, Clerk- Treasurer <br />September 15, 2015 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at 6:30 PM at the <br />Mooresville Government Center. <br />Council members present: President Mark Mathis, Vice - President Virginia, Perry, Tony Langley, Joe <br />Beikman, and Jeff Cook. No members were absent. Town Attorney Tim Currens was also present. <br />Mark Mathis gave the prayer. <br />A motion was made by Councilwoman Perry with a second by Councilman Cook to approve the minutes <br />of September 1, 2015 meeting. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />Next: 2016 Budget pre- adoption hearing. No one from the audience spoke and no one from the Council <br />had any questions. A motion was made by Councilwoman Perry with a second by Councilman Langley to <br />close the Public Hearing. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />Legal: A motion was made by Councilman Cook with a second by Councilwoman Perry to approve <br />Ordinance 8, 2015 rezone from R4 to 93 for the Dance and Arts studio restriction uses will only be a <br />dance and arts studio and meeting room. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />A motion was made to approve a resolution honoring Paul Hadley, the founder of our State Flag. A <br />motion was made by Councilwoman Perry with a second by Councilman Beikman to approve the <br />resolution. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Cook with a second by Councilman Beikman to approve payment of <br />claims in the amount $355,569.04. Motion carried 4 -0 -1 Councilman Langley abstained. <br />Public comments: Dr. Blackwell spoke to the council representing a group of landowners concerned <br />with 169 routes. Business and homes both oppose 169 coming thru the community. They are requesting <br />the Council's position on this. Members of the committee; Sherry Bush, Perry King, and Mrs. Sharp <br />brought stacks of letters to the council for them to take into consideration and sit down and talk about. <br />They said 169 would cut off community access, 911, Hill water, aquifer, etc. They told the council that <br />DNR opposes these routes. <br />Most of the letters did get notices from IDEM. They didn't know exactly how many letters they had <br />received. <br />Councilman Langley wants this issue on the agenda for the next meeting. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion to adjourn was made <br />by Councilman Beikman with a second by Councilman Cook.
