MOORESVILLE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />THURSDAY, APRIL 6, 2017 6:OOpm <br />Members present: Harold Gutzwiller, Joe Beikman, Tim Corman and Don Stultz. Commissioner Bill Boyd <br />and Town Attorney, Tim Currens were absent. Project Manager Chelsey Manns was present. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Corman and seconded by Commissioner Beikman to approve the <br />executive session and public meeting minutes from both March 2nd and March 23rd. The motion carried <br />4-0. <br />Financials were presented by email from the Clerk -Treasurer previously. Commissioner Corman made <br />the motion to accept the financials as presented. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Stultz and <br />it passed 4-0. <br />Public Comment No public comment. <br />Southbridge Crossing An Assignment and Assumption of the current lease at 260 Southbridge Crossing <br />for Roscoe's Taco's was presented. Commissioner Stultz made the motion to approve the Assignment <br />and Assumption of the Lease as presented. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Beikman, which <br />carried 4-0. <br />A new lease for Suite 266 Southbridge Crossing was presented. Commissioner Beikman made the <br />motion to approve the lease as presented. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Stultz, which <br />carried 4-0. <br />Gateway Project Update: <br />Indiana Street: Manns presented Proposal Request 3 (PR3) from Schutt-Lookabill Company, Inc. for <br />consideration from the Commission. This is a continuation of the Indiana Street project and includes the <br />entrance to Citizens Bank at 33 North Indiana. It includes the work at the south entrance of the Citizens <br />Bank building, including the sidewalk, curb, masonry walls, asphalt paving, landscaping, pavement <br />markings, relocation of the flagpole and bank sign, handicap signs and lighting. The proposal is for <br />$188,193.00. Commissioner Corman approved the proposal request as presented. Commissioner <br />Beikman seconded the motion, which carried 4-0. <br />Manns presented Change Order 2 (CO2) from Schutt-Lookabill for the Indiana Street project. This <br />included items previously approved at the last meeting in addition to PR3. The total amount was for <br />$551,802.41. Commissioner Corman made the motion to approve the Change Order as presented. <br />Commissioner Stultz seconded the motion, which carried 4-0. <br />Due to the additional work along Indiana as a continuation of the Indiana Street Project, Manns stated <br />that Schutt-Lookabill Company, Inc. has requested 166 additional days to finish the project. This would <br />move the initial project deadline from June 7, 2017 to November 20, 2017. Commissioner Corman <br />made the motion to approve the extension as presented. Commissioner Beikman seconded the motion, <br />which carried 4-0. <br />
