L. SIDEWALKS <br /> When parking areas are constructed, sidewalks shall be installed adjoining said lots in <br />all business and industrial use areas with said walks to meet the standards set out in the <br />Subdivision Control Ordinance of the Civil Town of Mooresville. The sidewalks shall be <br />installed on all adjoining streets to the parking lot unless the parking area is fenced and <br />completely off of the town right-of-way. <br /> <br />SECTION 3.4 - REQUIREMENTS FOR INDUSTRIAL USES <br /> <br /> The following performance standards shall apply to all industrial uses, in addition to <br />the other requirements of this ordinance. <br /> <br />A. ODOR <br /> No industrial use in any district may release and objectionable or offensive odor that <br />is detectable at the lot line. <br /> <br />B. TOXIC MATERIALS <br /> No materials toxic to persons or injurious to property shall be permitted to escape <br />beyond the building in which it occurs. <br /> <br />C. GLARE AND HEAT <br /> No industrial use may cause heat at the property line so intense as to be a public <br />nuisance or hazard. No glare shall be seen from any street or residential area. <br /> <br />D. VIBRATION <br /> At no property line of any industrial use may the sound level of any industrial use <br />(excluding background noises produced by sources not under the control of this <br />ordinance such as the operation of motor vehicles) exceed 70 decibels. Noise is to be <br />muffled as not to be objectionable due to intermittence, frequency or shrillness. <br /> <br />E. NOISE AND SOUND <br /> At no property line of any industrial use may the sound level of any industrial use <br />(excluding background noises produced by sources not under the control of this <br />ordinance such as the operation of motor vehicles) exceed 70 decibels. Noise is to be <br />muffled as not to be objectionable due to intermittence, frequency or shrillness. <br /> <br />F. EXCEPTIONS <br /> Section 3.4A to 3.4E inclusive do not apply to: <br /> <br />1. Site preparation or construction, maintenance, repair, alteration, or improvement of <br /> buildings, structures, equipment, or other improvements on or within the lot lines; and <br />2. The operation of motor vehicles or other facilities for the transportation of personnel, <br /> materials or products; and <br />3. Safety or emergency warning signals or alarms necessary for the protection of life, <br /> limb or property. <br /> <br />43. <br /> <br /> <br />
