-2- Larry Benson, 22 Wilson Dr. Willwood Ray House, Resident and Presieent of Mooresville Development Corporation After due deliberation by the Plan Commission members , the following motion was made by William Abbott and seconded by Jean Henderson: I move that the petition be sent to the Town Board of Mooresville with a recommendation for approval with the stipulation that any development of the pQoperty be subject to the sub-division control ordinance in force at the time. The ~~iKX~~XX vote was: No - Jean Henderson No - Eweather Stephens No - Steve Edwards No - Paul Walters ,No- Tilford Bailey, onl! bevause of his objectio to Federally Subsidized Housinr;, not to Mult -Family Housing. On the basis of the majority vote of No-5, Yes-2, the Plan Commission recommended to the Town Board that re-zoning be denied. Yes - William Abbott Yes - Robert Farmer Attorney Lawson advised petitioners that the Plan Commission can only make recommendations, the Town Board makes the final disposition. Getting to Old business, Bill Abbott reported that the Buffer Zone Map is very close to being in final form for presentation to the Plan Commission. -,~-- A motion was made by'jEweather Stephens and seconded by Steve Edwards that when the T~ Board takes action on any recommendation made by the Plan Commission, their actions on the recommendation be reported to the Plan commission. The only dissenting vote was voiced by Bill Abbott. (It is the opinion of the Secretary of the Plan Commission that Mr. Abbott was being more obstinate than serioua). Board Tilford Bailey, as Town/representative to the Plan Commission, was asked to point out to the Town Board the hazardous condition of the partially demolished building in the 1st block of South Indiana St. and determine what action, if any, can be taken to correct tee proolem.
