Motion was made by Commissioner Abbott, second by <br /> Commissioner Ehrhart to take steps to get the building at 39 <br /> and 39 1/2 West Main secured. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br /> A discussion was held concerning the property at 126 Merriman <br /> Road and possible violations of zoning. Building Inspector <br /> Joe Beikman has visited numerous times and has not witnessed <br /> any violations, but has been told by several neighbors that <br /> the property owner has been hauling cars in, removing parts, <br /> and hauling them back out. Motion was made by Commissioner <br /> Abbott, second by Commissioner Raney to move this matter to <br /> the October 24, 1996 meeting. <br /> <br /> An update on the Buffer Zone: Attorney Peden is getting <br /> information for Town Attorney Tim Currens on the Town of <br />~rooklyn's dimensions (number of square miles). Then a map <br /> can be drawn and a decision can be made as to where a line <br /> can be located. If overlapping occurs, State Statute <br /> dictates what percentage goes where. There will need to be a <br /> compromise between the two Plan Commissions of Brooklyn and <br /> Mooresville. <br /> <br /> Jerry Williamson appeared before the Commission to ask the <br /> possibility of a Stop Light at Carlisle and Indiana Street. <br /> Attorney Tim Currens stated this needed to be taken before <br /> the Town Council. <br /> <br /> Building Inspector report: thirty-two (32) permits and one <br /> hundred twenty-five (125) inspections. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Raney, second by Commissioner <br /> Young to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 8-0. <br /> <br /> The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Plan <br /> Commission will be Thursday, October 24, 1996 at 7:30 P.
