489. <br /> <br /> August 15, 2000 <br /> <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, August 15, 2000, at 6:30 P. <br />M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br />Council members present were: President Mark Mathis, Toby Dolen, John L. Clark, Tom <br />Wartben, and Andy Pygman. No members were absent. Town attorney Tim Currens was <br />present. Reverend Jim Taylor gave the invocation. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilman Warthen, second by Councilman Pygman to approve minutes <br />of August 1, 2000 council meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />South side laterals: Joe Beikman reported he did not have a firm price on grouting as of yet. <br />The council requested a finn price on this at the August 29, 2000 meeting and they requested the <br />main sewer line replacement begin "asap". <br /> <br />Councilman Pygman reported his speaking to Don Perry concerning the street lighting agreement <br />with the Town of Mooresville. Mr. Pygman also report a flasher light not working at the corner <br />oflndiana and Carlisle street. He suggested asking IPL for a pole and set it on the corner and <br />hang the new light on the pole. Joe Beikman said actually would need two lights. Joe is going <br />to get a price on the materials and installation. <br /> <br />Councilman Dolen reported to the council a new storm sewer was needed on St. Clair street <br />from Goose Creek back west across Maple Lane and comes a little short of Church street. The <br />quote from Swinney Brothers Excavating was $32,297.00. Motion was made by Councilman <br />Pygman, second by Councilman Dolen to approve storm sewer replacement on St. Clair Street <br />for $32,297.00 from Food and Beverage monies. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />Councilman Dolen also reported to the Council members a need to own a bucket truck for <br />changing street light bulbs, park light bulbs, and putting up and taking down street decorations. <br />The council decided to investigate legal on funding and prices of a used bucket truck to be <br />discussed at the next meeting of the council on August 29, 2000. <br /> <br />Fire Chief Les Farmer reported the early warning sirens had been delivered and are at present <br />waiting on an installation date. He also told the council the fire department was using a house <br />on St. Clair street that had partially burned and was soon to be demolished for training purposes. <br /> <br />Holloway & Associates was on the agenda for a rezone request for the Wyttenbach property on <br />BethelChurch and Keys road but did not appear at the meeting. <br /> <br />Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported twenty-one (21) calls, nine (9) impounds, and five <br />(5) returned. <br /> <br />EDC Director Harold Gutzwiller present a bid from Banning Engineering for infrastructure for <br /> TOA~USA. Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Clark to approve <br /> the contract from Banning Engineering. Motion carded 4-1. Councilman Pygman opposed. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Warthen, second by Councilman Dolen to approve payment of <br /> the claims. Motion carded 5-0. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Mooresville Town Council at this time, <br /> motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman, Clark to adjourn the meeting. <br /> Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br /> '!:;:ii":' <br /> <br /> ...... <br /> ' .
