Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Pygman to approve payment of the claims. Motion carried 4-0. The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall in the Town Conference Room due to the fact the meeting room will be used for the Primary Election. There being no further business to come before the Town Council at this time, a motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Mathis to adjourn the meeting. . Motion carried 4-0. Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Mathis to approve the minutes of April 20, 2002. Motion carried 3-0. Councilman Pygman came in to the meeting later. Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Mathis to approve request for annexation from Lenard and Barbara Scott for the Church on Indianapolis Road. Motion carried 3-0. Joyce Smith, Downtown Merchant's Association, requested a re-schedule for their Sock Hop. The Sock Hop and Car Show was mined out on April 27, 2002. They wanted the date of May 18, 2002 from 3:00 P. M. to 9:00 P. M. and they would be sure to be cleared out by 11:00 P. M. or before curfew. Motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Clark to approve the date of May 18, 2002. Motion carried 3-0. CoUncilman Mathis reported to the council he had talked to Judy Anderson and asked her to come back to the May 21, 2002 meeting. In the meantime Councilman Mathis will find out her cost to hook on to the sewer. She lives across from North Madison Crossing and had been told it would cost her between 40 to 50,000 dollars to hook-on. Mr. Mathis wanted to look into this cost further. Councilman Mathis also told the council that Wastewater Superintendent Danny Tingle would not be present but would be on the agenda for May 21, 2002. Motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Clark to transfer the money from the six general departments budget line item #341 to Fund 32, the Self Insured Health Fund. Motion carried 4-0. The Disaster Plan from the Fire Department will be moved to May 21, 2002 meeting. Council President Tom Warthen still had some questions to check out. Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported thirty'five (35) calls, six (6) impoUnds, and two (2) returns.
