124 Mr. Gamble was advised that the claim had been submitted to the town's insurance company for action. The Council opened the following bid for selling the wastewater treatment plant storage tank: Griffith Industries - $1,000.00 The Council tabled selling the storage tank to allow Superintendent Orme to review the bid. Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilwoman Overholser iq to present a Contract for Purchase of Real Estate to Mr. & Mrs. Maurice Testerman for $53,000.00 for their property adjacent to the Street Garage. Motion carried unanamously. The Council accepted an escrow agreement for Roberson Woods Phase I from Caperton Development Group. Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilwoman Overholser to award the sidewalk bid to D. R. Childs Company in the amount of $28,872.00 contingent on approval of the Local Road and Streets additional appropriation. Motion carried unanamously. EDC Director Randy Haymaker advised the Council that the Town of Mooresville was not awarded a Community Focus Fund Grant in round two due to technical problems which occurred due to the state changing some of the grant forms between round one and round two. Mr. Haymaker received the Council's consent to apply for round three of the CFF Grant. Councilman Edwards advised the Council that the roof leak at Town Hall has reached a point where major repair is necessary. Councilman Edwards will obtain quotes for labor and material for this project. Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilwoman Overholser to approve the bills and claims. Motion carried unanamously. -~ There being no further business to come before the Council at this time motion to adjourn was made by Councilwoman Overholser, second by Councilman Forbes. ATTEST: /Clerk-Treasurer ~ August 6, 1991 The regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council was held Tuesday, August 6, 1991 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. Council members present were Pat Overholser, Steve Edwards, Steve Ballard, and Dick Heald. Councilman Jack Forbes was absent. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. Mr. Peden represented Darrell Swinney in his petition to rezone property east of town from A-1 to R-1. This rezone was approved by the Plan Commission by a vote of six in favor, one opposed, one abstension.
