Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> Council President Heald called a ten minute recess. <br /> <br /> Town Attorney Tim Currens read Ordinance #14-1991 A Rezone of the Swinney <br /> property. This Ordinance had unanamously passed the Council at a previous <br /> meeting, however there was a legal error in said Ordinance which was corrected. <br /> <br /> Ordinance #16-1991 An Ordinance to Rezone G. R. Wood property from I-1 <br /> to I-2. Motion was made by Councilman Ballard and second by Councilman <br /> Edwards to adopt Ordinance #16-1991. Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilwoman Overholser <br /> to approve the cutting of weeds at 253 E. South Street, Mooresville, in pursuit <br /> with Ordinance #12-1984. Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> Town Attorney Tim Currens advised the Council it would be necessary to <br /> meet in Executive session in regard to the purchase of the Testerman property <br /> and Miller's Merry Manor sewer charges. <br /> <br /> The Council agreed to meet in Executive session Tuesday, September 3, 1991 <br /> at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council President Dick Heald appointed Mr. Robert Tucker to the Redevelopment <br /> Commission to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Rebecca Henderson. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilman Ballard to <br /> release $47,000.00 from the Roberson Village escrow account. <br /> Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilwoman Overholser <br /> to approve the 1992 Budget as submitted at the public hearing held at the previous <br /> Council meeting. Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> In response to a letter sent to the Town Council from property owners on <br /> the north side of West High Street in regard to new sidewalks, Councilwoman <br /> Overholser stated those sidewalks have been scheduled to be replaced this year. <br /> <br /> EDC Director Randy Haymaker advised the Council that the Mooresville Re- <br /> vitalization Group has received funds to do additional sidewalk work at Indiana <br /> Street and Main Street with the consent of the Council. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by Councilman Ballard <br /> to accept the Downtown Revitalization Group's offer to have additional sidewalk <br /> work done at Indiana Street and Main Street. Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> Mr. Haymaker advised the Council that he has submitted the preliminary <br /> application to the Indiana Department of Commerce for round III of the <br /> Community Focus Fund Grant. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilwoman Overholser <br /> to allow the Fire Department to hold a roadblock for MDA on Saturday, August 31, <br /> 1991. Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilman Ballard to <br />allow the fire department to use the area between the Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />and the police firing range for a firefighter's training area. <br />Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by Councilman Edwards <br />to pay the bills and claims.
