Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilman <br />Ballard to approve Ordinance #20-1991 An Ordinance to Rezone the <br />Ferguson Property to B-3 with special exception. <br />Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Ballard and second by Councilwoman <br />Overholser to approve Resolution #10-1991 A Resolution to Approve <br />the first Payroll of 1992 to be paid on January 2, 1992 with the last <br />pay of 1991 being on December 17, 1991. Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by Council- <br />man Edwards to accept the quote from Deeds Equipment for a Vac Truck <br />in the amount of $131,389.00. Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> The Council advised Town Attorney Tim Currens to send a letter <br />to the contractors which had street cuts on Lincoln Lane to advise <br />them the street has not been restored to the town's standards. <br /> <br /> Economic Development Director Randy Haymaker advised the Council <br />that the Town received the $500,000.00 Community Focus Fund grant <br />from the Department of Commerce. The contract will be sent to the <br />Town for signatures in the near future. Mr. Haymaker advised the <br />Council that work on the sewer infiltration should begin in February <br />1992. <br /> <br /> Town Engineer William Abbott advised the Council that the November <br />meeting of the Mooresville Plan Commission will be held Thursday, <br />November 21, 1991 due to Thanksgiving being the date of the regular <br />meeting. This meeting will be the public hearing for the proposed <br />zoning changes. <br /> <br /> Council President Dick Heald advised the Council that he has <br />received numerous complaints in regard to dogs. Councilman Ballard <br />and Councilwoman Overholser will meet with animal control officer <br />Terry Hoffman and town Attorney Tim Currens to discuss the dog <br />problems in Mooresville. <br /> <br /> Cemetery Sexton Ed Bucker advised the Council that he has <br />started fixing the head stones at the cemetary which were destroyed <br />by vandals on Halloween. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards and second by Councilman <br />Ballard to approve the bills and claims. Motion carried unanamously. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Council at <br />this time motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Ballard and <br />second by Councilman Edwards.
