217 <br /> <br /> April 19, 1994 <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the Mooresville Town Council was <br />held Tuesday, April 19, 1994 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville <br />Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were Tim Viles, Steve Edwards, <br />Dick Heald, Steve Ballard and Pat Overholser. No members were absent. <br /> <br /> Minutes of the previous Town Council meeting and the special <br />meeting held Tuesday, April 12, 1994 were approved as submitted. <br /> <br /> Mr. David Bridges representing the parents of the Mooresville <br />Post Prom Committee appeared before the Council requesting approval <br />for a roadblock on April 23, 1994 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman Viles <br />to approve a roadblock for the Mooresville Post Prom Committee <br />for April 23, 1994 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Ballard, second by Councilman <br />Edwards to approve the Contract for Expenditures of Funds Between <br />the Civil Town of Mooresville and the Mooresville Area Senior <br />Center in the amount of $10,000.00 for 1994. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Viles, second by Councilman <br />Ballard to Proclaim May 5, 1994 a day of prayer in the Town of <br />Mooresville in conjunction with National Day of Prayer. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman <br />Ballard to approve the radio dispatch contract with the Brooklyn <br />Volunteer Fire Department. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Viles, second by Councilman <br />Ballard to approve the contract with M & S Iawncare for mowing <br />services for the Town's cemeteries. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Ballard, second by Councilman <br />Heald to approve an agreement with Brown Township for responsibility <br />for providing emergency services on State Road 67 through the <br />Town of Mooresville. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Council President Overholser advised the Council that Fire <br />Chief Darrell Brown will be in charge of finding solutions for <br />the town buildings to be in compliance with the Americans with <br />Disabilities Act. <br /> <br /> Town Engineer Bill Abbott presented the Council a proposal <br />for changing the traffic flow at the intersection of Indianapolis <br />Road and Old State Road 67. <br /> <br /> Park Board member Bill Roberson submitted his resignation from <br />the Mooresville Park and Recreation Board to Council President <br />Overholser effective May 9, 1994. <br /> <br /> Councilman Heald reported the Council held an administrative <br />staffing review with Park Superintendent Brent Callahan on Tuesday, <br />April 19, 1994 at 6:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council President Overholser advised the Council that Home <br />Bank will hold a ground breaking ceremony on Friday, April 22, 1994 <br />at 3:00 p.m. at the site of their new building at Mooresville Town <br />Center. <br /> <br /> The Council discussed the potential problems with planning <br />in the Town of Mooresville if Morgan County adopts an Area Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br /> <br />
