216 <br /> <br /> April 12, 1994 <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met in joint session with the <br /> Morgan County Commissioners on Tuesday, April 12 1994 at 9:00 a.m. <br /> at the Mooresville Town Hall. ' <br /> <br /> Those present were as follows: Pat Overholser, Steve Edwards, <br /> Steve Ballard, Tim Viles, Tim Currens, Ann Whaley, Joe Beikman, <br /> Bill Gray, Roger Davee, Charlene Pugh, Catherine Bennett, Judy <br /> Cleland, Nathan Varnes, Steve Wegman, leonard Huffman, J.R. Vangant, <br /> Jesse Hughes and Kaye Don Haught. <br /> <br /> Council President Overholser explained that the purpose of <br /> this meeting was to investigate solutions to the sanitation problems <br /> at Brookmore Subdivision. <br /> <br /> Judy Cleland of MSE Corporation presented Wastewater Treatment <br /> Alternatives for Brookmore Subdivision and grant availability for <br /> this project. <br /> <br /> Wastewater Treatment Alternatives for the Brookmore Addition <br /> include: <br /> <br /> 1. Obtain wastewater treatment at an existing facility. <br /> <br /> 2. Construct a new treatment facility. <br /> <br /> 3. Wastewater Treatment facility financing for Brookmore <br /> Subdivision include: <br /> <br /> 1. County Finance <br /> 2. Private Entity Finance <br /> 3. Annexation, existing community finance <br /> 4. Form New legal Entity, New Entity Finance <br /> a. Town <br /> b. Regional Sewer District <br /> c. Conservancy District <br /> d. Not for Profit Sewer District <br /> <br /> Each of the above listed financing possibilities have numerous <br /> financing capabilities available. <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Town Council stated that the Town of Mooresville <br /> has the capacity to treat the Brookmore Addition wastewater; however, <br /> the town does not have available funds to run a sewer line to the <br /> Brookmore Addition. The Mooresville Council also stated that in <br /> the event a sewer line is run to the Brookmore Addition the Town <br /> of Mooresville will annex this subdivision. <br /> <br /> The Mooresville Town Council and the Morgan County Commissioners <br /> agreed to continue to look for a solution to the wastewater treatment <br /> problem in the Brookmore Addition. <br /> <br /> There being no further businss to come before the Mooresville <br /> Town Council at this time, Councilman Ballard made a motion for <br /> adjournment, Councilman Edwards second.
