219 <br /> <br /> May 16, 1994 <br /> <br /> The Mooresvilie Town Council held their regular scheduled meeting <br /> on Monday, May 16, 1994 at 6:00 p.mo at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br /> <br /> Council members present were Steve Edwards, Dick Heald, <br /> Steve Ballard and Pat Overholser. Council member Tim Viles was <br />absent. <br /> <br /> Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. <br /> <br /> Dr. Roger Thomas of Kendrick Hospital appeared before the Council <br />to introduce himself to the Council as a new physician at Kendrick <br />Hospital specializing in industrial medicine. <br /> <br /> Ms. Iinda Perry of Indy Girls Mooresville Softball Fast Pitch <br />appeared before the Council requesting a roadblock for June 4, 1994. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards, second by Councilman <br />Ballard to approve a roadblock for the Indy Girls Mooresville Softball <br />Fast Pitch Team for June 4, 1994. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Mr. Carl Brown appeared before the Council to ask permission to <br />hold a roadblock for the leukemia Society on June 18, 1994. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman Edwards <br />to approve a roadblock for the leukemia Society on June 18, 1994. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Ballard, second by Councilman <br />Heald to approve an agreement between Brown Township Volunteer <br />Fire Department and the Town of Mooresville for providing emergency <br />services on State Road 67. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman second <br /> Edwards, <br /> by <br /> Councilman <br />Ballard to approve Ordinance #6-1994 An Ordinance to Rezone the <br />Property located at the Southeast corner of Hadley Road and Johnson <br />Road from AG to PUD-R. Motion carried 3-0. Councilman Heald abstained. <br /> <br /> Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported he has had nineteen <br />(19) calls, six (6) animals impounded one El) animal-returned to <br />its owner. <br /> <br /> Darrell Brown reported on progress being made on ADA compliance. <br />The biggest compliance problem the town currently faces is the location <br />of the Town Court. Mr. Brown recommended moving the Court to <br />Pioneer Pointe which complies with ADA regulations. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards, second by Councilman <br />Ballard to approve a lease with Pioneer Pointe, Richard Newcomer, <br />owner for office space to house the Mooresville Town Court for one <br />year. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Council President Overholser appointed Councilman Ballard to <br />serve on a committee with President Overholser to approve all <br />improvements to the office space leased by the Town for the Court. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Edwards, second by Councilman <br />Ballard to appoint Council President Overholser as signatory on the <br />necessary lease-purchase papers needed to finance the aerial fire <br />truck. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman <br />Edwards to approve swimming pool sewer exemptions for M~.IMarvin Bain, <br />26 West South Street and Dorothy Dooley, 70 Devonwood Drive. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
