227 There being no further business to come before the Mooresville Town Council at this time, motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman Edwards. Motion carried unanimously. The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be held Tuesday, August 2, 1994 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mooresville Town Court. Pr~ident v ATTEST: lerk-Treasure~ August 2, 1994 The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session Tuesday, August 2, 1994 at the Mooresville Town Court at Pioneer Pointe, 215 E. High Street at 7:30 p.m. Council members present were Steve Edwards, Steve Ballard, Dick Heald, Tim Viles and Pat Overholser. No members were absent. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. Mr. Ross Holloway appeared before the Council representing KDH Corporation. Mr. Holloway presented a preliminary plan to route sewer lines on A~lington Drive to the east side interceptor. The plan included a lift station and forced main. Preliminary cost estimate for this project including engineering is $125,000.00. Mr. Holloway explained that KDH Corporation would recover the cost of this project from the town's availability fees. Motion was made by Councilman Heald, second by Councilman Edwards to approve KDH Corporation installing a sewer line, lift station and forced main as presented to the Council. The Town will enter into an agreement with KDH Corporation to allow them to recover the cost of this project in compliance with the Town's Availability fee ordinance. Motion carried unanimously. Mr. Mike Renner, 107 Morgan Street, presented the Council with a petition to install a stop sign at Morgan Street and Jefferson Street. Mr. Renner stated that traffic in this area is dangerous for the numerous children which live in this area. Council President Overholser appointed Councilman Viles, Police Chief George Ditton and Street Superintendent Joe Beikman to a committee to investigate the solutions to the traffic problem at Morgan Street and Jefferson Street. This committee will report to the Council at the next Council meeting. Mr. Joe Harris, 17 Victor Drive, Mooresville, appeared before the Council inquiring why all property owners on Victor Drive have not been mandated to hook on to the sewer system. Town attorney Tim Currens advised Mr. Harris that there is only one property owner not connected to the sewer line because there is a problem with the level of the main sewer line and the level of the property's plumbing. After much discussion the Council agreed that all residents should be hooked on to the sewer system if their property is within 300 feet of a sewer line.
