August 15, 1989 The regular meeting of the Mooresville To~ Council was held Tuesday, August 15, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall. Council members present were Dick Heald, Pat Overholser, Jack Forbes and Steve Edwards, Councilman Mike Fiscus was abse~t. in the absence of Council President Fiscus Councilman Edwards chaired the meeting. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. The Council held the public hearing for the 1990 Town Budget. There were no remonstrators present. The adoption of the 1990 Town Budget will take place at a special meeting of the Town Council Tuesday, August 22, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall. ' Motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser and second by Councilman Heald to approve Ordinance #13-1989 for an additional appropriation for $2,000.00 from Federal Revenue sharing to Economic Development Co~nission 3-162 and $10,000.00 from Federal Revenue Sharing to Ge~eral Town Hall 4-370. Motion Carried. Motion was made by ~ouncz~man Heald and second by Councilman Forbes to approve a resolution for the follwoing transfer of funds: GENERAL FUND - FIRE DEPAR~-~ENT FROM AMOUNT TO 1-254 Allowances $ 1,000 00 2-137 Other Supplies 1-315 Training Officer 500 00 2-137 Other Supplies 1-264 Unemployment 2,500 00 3-651 Bldg. & Structure Repair 3-654 SCBA Annual Test 445 00 3-651 Bldg. & Structure Repair 1-315 Fire Inspector 500 00 1-262 Ret/Soc. Security 3-654 SCBA Annual Test 30 00 1-262 Ret/Soc. Security 2-223 Tires & Tubes 1,000 00 3-652 Equipment Repair 2-221 Engine Fuel 1,000.00 4-472 Other Equipment 3-752 Hydrants 1,400.00 4-472 Other Equipment 3-214 Telephone 600.00 2-224 Other Garage & Motor Sup. The Council accepted the quote of .32 per $I,000.00 of life insurance from First Benefit Corporation for $50,000.00 of life insurance for each town employee. This policy will take effect September !, 1989. Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilwoman Overhoise= to pay the bills and claims. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Mooresville Town Council at this time motion was made by Councilwoman Overholser to adjourn, Councilman Heald Second. Motion carried. The Mooresvilie Town Council will meet in special session to adopt the 1990 Town Budget on Tuesday August 22 1989 at 7:30 p.m at Town Hall.
