<br />Councilxnan Coale to approve entering into an agreement with Strategic Developmetxt <br />Group for the extra $20,000. Motion carried S-0. <br />The Redevelopment Commission is amending the Redevelopment Plan to allow for a <br />fire station. 'T'hey plan to submit 1.5 million dollars for fire and extra far contingencies. <br />-~ They will put those monies into a special account and any money left over will go back <br />into their accounts. They are also including streetscaping and the ability to purchase <br />property from a willing seller in the amendments.. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Clark with. a second by Councilman Goodwin to find the amendments to the plan <br />reasonable and to approve. Motion carried S-0. <br />~ A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Cook to <br />approve two appointments, Jim Ransotne and Greg Swinney to the construction wage <br />board. Motion carried S-0. <br />Street Department: Jae Beikman asked the council to get a list of streets for paving. <br />Councilman Clark said he wants Washington Street azzd part of Brvad Alley paved. <br />Dean Kays, Police Commissioner, introduced the 19~', 20~', and 21 S~ newly hired police <br />officers, Ryan Goodwin, Brandon Ashbach; and David Schultz. <br />Mark Taylor, Animal-.Control Officer, reported thirty two (32) calls, thirteen (13) <br />impounds and eight (8) returns. <br />A motion was made ty Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Langley to <br />approve payment of claims. Motion carried 5-0. <br />A motion was made to approve wastewater availability fees of $5500.00 and connection <br />fees of $4,500.00 for Mt. Olive (Live Oak LLC): Motion carried 5-0. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion was <br />made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Goodwin to adjourn the <br />..meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br />The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be an Tuesday, May 20, 2008, <br />at 6:30 P. M. <br />at the Mooresville Government Center for the purpose of discussing personnel. <br />Council members present were: Mark Harris, Tony Langley, Ryan Goodwin, and Jeff Cook. <br />Councilman John Clark came in later.
