Under Legal, Attorney Tim Currens stated that he had received the contract from Edwards- Ridgon on the new Fire Department and he would get those out to the council members to review before the next meeting. He also has the wage scale for the fire department construction and paving bids. These will be discussed at the next meeting. Tim Currens also presented the Council with a form that could be used when someone is requesting a street closing permit which would requixe the applicant to contact the police, fire and street departments and have the department heads to sign off on it and/or make comments. It would also include the applicant's contact information, date and time, etc. to help simplify things before the Council approves it. A motion to approve the form for street closing requests was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman. Langley. Motion carried 4-0. Tim Currens asked the Council to approve the appointment,of Brian Anderson to the Plan Commission since he is a Town employee. A anotion to accept the appointment of Brian Anderson to the Plan Conunission was made by Councihnan Clark, second by Councilman Cook. Motion carried 4-0. Fire Chief, Les Farmer stated that he had received a call from Brian Turley ofEdwards-Ridgon stating that the adverting for bids would begin next week, apre-construction meeting was scheduled for July 15~' and bids packages will be opened on July 24t'`. Street Superintendent, Joe Beikman stated that he had a message on his answering machine asking to extend the street closing on July 12th that was approved at the June 17th meeting to 6:OU p.m. instead of 5:00. A motion to extend the street closing on July 12a' to 6:00 p.m. was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Langley. Motion carried 4-0. Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported 30 calls, 5 impounds and 2 returns. A motion to approve the payment of claims was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Cook. Motion carried 4-0. There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, a motion was made by Councilman Clark to adjourn the meeting. Motion was second by Councilman Langley and carried 4-0.
