Perry, Clerk-Treasure <br />Apri13, 2007 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, Apri13, 2007 at 6:30 <br />p.m. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br />Council members present were: Toby Dolen, Mark Harris and John L. Clark. President, <br />Tom Worthen and Councilman Eric Shields were absent. Town Attorney, Tim Currens, <br />was present. <br />Toby Dolen gave the prayer. <br />A motion to approve the minutes of the March 20, 2007 meeting was made by <br />Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Hams and carried 3-0. <br />The first item on the agenda was the bid far epoxy flooring at the dog kennel. The bid <br />came from Maxx Industrial Flooring, which is the same company that installed the epoxy <br />floating at the Government Center. The bid totaled $2,195.00. Animal Control Officer, <br />Mark Taylor told the Council that the epoxy paint that was previous applied is peeling up. <br />A motion to approve the bid from Maxx lndustrial Flooring to install epoxy flooring at <br />the dog kennel in the amount of $2,195.00 was made by Councilman Clark, second by <br />Councilman Harris. Motion carried 3-0. <br />The next item on the agenda was the Burglar Alarm Ordinance. Town Attorney, Tim <br />Currens presented the Council with an ordinance amending the current alarm ordinance, <br />as discussed at a previous meeting. <br />Councilman Harris made a motion that all revenue generated from the alarm ordinance, <br />both user fees and fines, go to the police department instead of the general fund as has <br />been done: in the past, to help sustain funding for the MDT (Mobile Data Terminals) and <br />computer services for the police department. The motion was second by Councilman <br />Clark and carried 3-0. <br />Tim Currens will bring the ordinance back for a vote at a later date. <br />.Tim Currens presented the Council with the Confirmatory Resolution far afive-year tax <br />abatement on equipment for Overton and Sons. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark and second by Councilman Harris to approve <br />Resolution 4-2007, the Confirmatory Resolution far a five year tax abatement on <br />equipment for Overton and Sons. Motion carried 3-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Harris to approve the <br />contract for cemetery mowing with Starnes Lawn Care pursuant to the bid awarded on <br />March 20, 2007. Motion carried 3-0. <br />
