<br />Council President ~"om Worthen told the council a lot of the department heads had <br />mentioned monthly meetings for communication with the council. He also would like to <br />set some sort of coammissary for supplies in order to buy in bulk. Councilman. Shields <br />asked if they wanted to consider open bidding on the Internet. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Shields to implement these goals. The motion died for lack of a second., <br />A motion was made to approve 300 new traditional style cemetery plots for sale by <br />Councilman Harris with a second by Councilman Dolen. Motion carried 5-0. A motion <br />was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Dolen to charge $500 per <br />cemetery plot and to contact those people who have had graves on hold and tell them the <br />price will go up in 30 days and they need to purchase ar let ga of the hold. Motion <br />carried 5-0. <br />Council President VJarthen asked the newspaper to advertise a tornado test on <br />Wednesday 5 to 6 P. M. <br />Police Commissioner, Dennis Knierim, reported two policemen ready to go to the <br />academy. <br />Street Superintendent, Joe Beikman, told the council he wanted a list of streets to be <br />paved. <br />A .motion was made by Councilman Harris with a second by Councilman Clark to <br />approve transferring $115,000 from WWTF Operating to WWTP Plant Improvement. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />Animal Cantral Officer, Mark Taylor, reported nineteen (19) calls, four (~4) impounds, <br />and two (2) returns. <br />The time moves ahead one hour an Sunday morning. So set you clocks. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Dolen to <br />approve payment of claims. Motion carried 5-0. <br />There being no further business to come before the Mooresville Town Council at this <br />tinge, a motion was made by Councilman Dalen with a second by Councilman Clark to <br />adjourn the meeting. M. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br />Council members present were: President Tom Worthen, Mark Harris, John L. Clark, <br />Toby Dolen, and Eric Shields. No members were absent. Town attorney Tim Currens <br />was also present. <br />Jim Taylor, Grace Church, gave the prayer. <br />Cauncilruan Harris made a motion with a second by Councilman Clark to approve <br />minutes of March 6, 2007.
