'7?9 <br />March 21, 2006 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, March 21, 200G at <br />6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br />Town Council members present were: Council President Tom Worthen, Troy Bryant, <br />John L. Clark, and Toby Dolen. Eric Shields was absent. Town attorney Tirn Currens <br />was present. <br />Chris Fowler from Mt. Gilead Church gave the prayer. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Do1en to <br />approve the minutes of March 7, 2006. Motion carried 4-0. <br />First act of business was a Public Hearing for Confirmatory Resolution for General Shale. <br />There were no comments from the audience or the council. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Dolen with a second from Councilman Clark to approve Confirmatory <br />Resolution #6, 2006, tax abatement for General Shale. Motion carried 4-0. <br />Rosemary Rogers appeared before the council to request permission to park roll-offs <br />from Ray's Trash and a NuGenesis truck in the parking lot of the Town Hall on Saturday, <br />May 20, 2006 for Spring Clean-Up day. A motion was made by Councilman Clark with <br />a second by Councilman Dolen to grant permission. Motion carried 4-0. <br />Nina Langley appeared before the council to ask permission for Joe Beikman and the <br />Street Department to paint purple footprints leading to the High School Track for Morgan <br />County North End Relay for Life to beheld June 2nd and 3rd.. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Dolen with a second by Councilman Clark to give permission. Motion <br />carried 4-0. The footprints will be painted the middle of May. <br />Legal: A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Dolen to <br />approve Credit Card Resolution #7, 2006 to allow employees that can purchase to take <br />the card from Clerk-Treasurer's office and then bring it back to the office. Motion <br />carried 4-0. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Dolen to <br />approve a written agreement for Cliff Petty project in Hadley Woodland for <br />reimbursement from Wastewater Development Availability Agreement in the amount of <br />$48,725.00. Motion carried 4-0. <br />Council President Tam Worthen announced the dollar amount to be in the Edit Plan as <br />follows: Cemetery Maintenance $25,197.00 <br />Morgan Co. EDC 50,000.00 <br />Put into General 100 numbers 251,992.00 that reflects 10% of the <br />100 numbers <br />$ 10,183.00 in Court <br />14,790.00 in Town Hall <br />11,082.00 in Utility <br />4,420.00 in Stormwater <br />130,094.00 in Police <br />81,423.00 in Fire <br />Council President Worthen also announced the budget cuts in the Police Dept. budget <br />totaling to $32,500. <br />Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported twenty-one (21) calls, five (5) impounds, <br />and two (2) returns. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Dolen to <br />approve payment of the claims. Motion carried 4-0. <br />There being no further business to came before the council at this time, a motion was <br />made by Councilman Dolen with a second by Councilman Bryant to adjourn the meeting. <br />Motion carried 4-0. <br />
