Perry, Clerk-Treasurer <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session an Tuesday, Apri14, 2006 at'6:30 <br />P.M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br />Council members present were: President, Tom Worthen, Toby Dolen, John L Clark, and <br />Eric Shield. Troy Bryant was absent. Town Attorney, Tim Currens, was also present. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Dolen, to approve the <br />minutes of March 21, 2006. Motion carried 4-0. <br />First item an the agenda was the opening of the bids for the Salt Building for the MVH <br />Department. There was only on bid submitted by Dallman Contractors LLC. The bid <br />was as follows: <br />Unfinished exterior shell $272,667.00 <br />with exterior doors and windows <br />No floors or interior work <br />Finished Shell with interior work $640,913.00 <br />Complete <br />Sprinkler system was not included <br />Mr. Worthen asked if the sprinkler system was on the specs and 1VIr. Bob Young froze <br />Dallman said they were not. Mr. Worthen asked for a motion to table the awarding of <br />the bid until the next meeting allowing Mr. Beikman and Mr. Currens to look over the <br />bid. Motion was made by Councilman Shields, second by Councilman Clark, to table <br />the awarding of the bid until April 18, 2006. Matian carried 4-0. <br />Legal: Salary Ordinance amendment for the Street Department Management position of <br />$14.00 per hour which could be raised as warranted based on evaluation, but not to <br />exceed the original Salary Ordinance. The Wastewater Treatment Plant added part-time <br />employee starting at $10.30 per hour and after the first anniversary (twelve months) a 25 <br />cent per hour increase up to $2.00 or 8 years of service with everything else remaining <br />the same. Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Shields, to <br />approve Ordinance ~#4 to amend the original Salary Ordinance as stated above. Motion <br />carried 4-0. <br />Next was the Capital Improvement Plan for the use of 2005 Edit Tax distribution <br />allowing us'to use $50,000.00 far the contribution to Morgan County Economic <br />Development, additional monies helping fund the General Fund budget and the balance <br />for the economic development projects. Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, <br />second by Councilman Clark, to approve Capitol Improvement Plan. Motion carried 4- <br />0. <br />i <br />~. <br /> <br /> <br />
