LI <br />The next tl~rec appointz~xents are executive appointments to the Plzen Comnussion for <br />four.- year terms. Council President Warthen said he hacl spoken to Charles McGuire <br />who was finishing out the end of a term that was vacated (and Charles had previously <br />been appointed). l-Ie was helpful and instrumental in the writing of the comprehensive <br />plan. Mr. McGuire was willing to serve. Council. President Warthen appointed him to a <br />four- year term. President Warthen also spoke with John Ehrhart who is currently <br />serving on t11e plan comnussiozi and he was willing to serve again- President Warthen <br />appointed John Ehrhart to a four-year term. :Both of these gentlemen are repztblican <br />appointees. President Warthen said Robert Williamson, a democrat appointee, was <br />willing to serve again, so President Warthen appointed Robert Williamson tv a four-year <br />teen. <br />President Warthen appointed Bt~an Wiser, a democrat, to serve afour-year term on the <br />Park Board. Mr. Wiser is currently fulfilling a term vacated last year. <br />Next was a council appointment to the Mooresville Police Cornntission. Dean Kays bas <br />served on the police commission and his term was up- A motion was made by <br />Councilman Dolen, a second by Councilman Clark to approve his re-appointment for a <br />three year term. Motion carried 3~0. <br />President Warthen appointed Jon Swisher to the Board of Zoning Appeals for another <br />four-year teen. <br />Town Attorney Tim Currens told the council they needed to recommend a parson to the <br />county to serve on the Prevailing Wage Board. This person has to be a taxpayer within <br />the civil Town of 1Vlooresville. The council needs to do this as soon as possible. <br />Joe Beikman, Street Superintendent, told the council he had inclttded a report he had to <br />submit to IDEM in their packets- If the council. did not have a problem with the report he <br />would subz~~.it it to IDE1V1. <br />Animal Control Officer,lVlzrrk Taylor, reported seventeen (17) calls, four (4) impounds, <br />and three (3) returns- <br />Helen Humes reported the Morgan County Economic Development were having a retreat <br />on January 30, 2004 to set long term and short terzxz objectives. She said there were two <br />seats available on the Morgan County Economic Developtneut Board for Mooresville. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Dolen, a second by Councilman Clark. to approve <br />payment of the claims. Motion carried 3-0. <br />There being no further business before the council at this lizl~e, a motion was made by <br />Councilman Dolen, and a second. by Councih~~an Clark to adjourn the meeting.
