There being no further business to come before the council at this time, a motion was <br />made to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried unanimously. <br />The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be on Tuesday, March 18, 2003, <br />at 6:30 P. Perry, Clerk-Treas <br />March 18, 2003 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met on Tuesday, March 18, at 630 PM at the Mooresville <br />Town Hall. <br />~~r~ <br />Council members present were: President Toby Dolen, Troy Bryant, Mark Mathis, Tom <br />Warthen, and John L. Clark. No members were absent. Town attorney Tim Currens was <br />present. <br />Jim Taylor, Grace Missionary Church, gave the prayer. <br />Motion was made by Councilman Warthen, second by Councilman Bryant to approve the <br />minutes of the March 4, 2003 meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br />_ Motion was made by Councilman Bryant,_~econd by Councilman Warthen_to have~_„_ <br />----- <br />~~ County Clerk, Vicki Kivett, to the April 1, 2003 meeting to discuss agreement wi e <br />County to administer the Primary Election. Motion carried S-0. <br />EDC Director, Helen Humes, told the council NuGenesis was back to the council <br />meeting to ask for approval of a tax abatement. She said this company was eligible for a <br />three year tax abatement on the .building only. This would amount to a savings of <br />$29,886.00. A motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Clark to <br />approve Declaratory Resolution # 4, 2003, for a three year tax abatement for NuGenesis. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />Next, Ross Holloway, Holloway & Associates, appeared before the council representing <br />Hall, Hall, & Dodds for a rezone request from Agriculture to PUD-R. The property is <br />located on Landersdale Road. Mr. Holloway told the council the plat had been amended <br />to make all garages two~car garages and to add another fire hydrant for Madison <br />Township Fire Department. He said the permit will came after plat is approved. The <br />county told Mr. Holloway thatthey would maintain the street as long as it was built to <br />county's standards. Mr. Holloway said the backyards were 40 feet and it had been <br />decided at the last Plan Commission meeting that a high fence far a divider would not be <br />s0 gbod, but they could do mounding. Councilman Bryant asked about. diversity. He <br />said there were condominiums in Greenwood somewhat like these and they were <br />drastically different from one another and did not look very nice. Mr. Dodds told <br />Councilman Bryant the color of the garage door will go with the Brick color and the <br />design of the garage door will be which is more presentable. These units will sell for <br />$175,000.00. Building Inspector Joe Beikman asked Mr. Holloway if the letter from the <br />County Highway Department said they would take over the street. Mr. Holloway said <br />there was no guarantee the county would and he would put on the plat stating the <br />Homeowner's Association would maintain the street if the caunty will not. Councilman <br />Warthen asked if the Town of Mooresville sewer could handle this project. Mr. <br />Holloway answered yes and there is an existing line an Landersdale Road. The <br />developer will take the sewer in where the Town wants it to go in. Councilman Worthen <br />
