Perry, Clerk-Treasurer <br /> February 3, 2009 <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at 6:30 P. <br /> M. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br /> Town Council members present: Jeff Cook, John L. Clark, and Ryan Goodwin. President Mark <br /> Harris was absent and Tony Langley was absent. Town attorney Tim Currens was present. <br /> Kelly Carter, First Christian Church, gave the invocation. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Goodwin to approve <br /> Jan 20'b minutes. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Goodwin to set up an <br /> escrow agreement for Thieneman Construction and to approve payment for the first and second <br /> pay request for the UV system at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. <br /> The Cemetery bids for mowing were opened: <br /> Two Cemeteries per cut Field per cut <br /> Clay's Mowing Serv. $ 900 $200 <br /> Grounds Lawn care 525 85 <br /> Starnes 600 100 <br /> M & S 500 100 <br /> Broadus Lawn Serv. 500 100 <br /> LSG, Inc. 500 75 <br /> Tri-County Lawn Care 880 150 <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Goodwin to review the list with Ed Bucker, the Cemetery <br /> Sexton,before making a decision. A second was made by Councilman Clark. Motion carried 3- <br /> 0. <br /> No Legal <br /> Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported sixteen(16) calls, four(4) impounds, and one(1) <br /> return. <br /> EDC: Jeff Pipkin, Morgan County Economic Development, reported General Shale had not <br /> turned in 322 forms and requested the Town Council to write a letter to the County Auditor to go <br /> aheod with abatement late filing for this year. A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a <br /> second by Councilman Goodwin to send a letter of approval for a late filing to the Morgan <br /> County Auditor. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Goodwin with a second by Councilman Clark to approve <br /> payment of the claims. Motion carried 3-0. <br />
