Motion carried 5-0. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Clarlc with a second by Councilman Cook to <br /> approve a request from Mike Podorff, ABATE, to close Main Street fi ozn Indiana <br /> to the alley or to Clay Street June 3'd from 2 to 5 PM for a blood drive. The permit <br /> has been signed by all departments involved and one officer has been assigned to <br /> work-this event. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman. Cook with a second by Councilman Harris to <br /> close Main Street from Indiana to Clay Street for a Madi Gras sponsored by <br /> Citizen's Bank- on Thursday June 17, 5-11 PM. They wish to use Street <br /> Department barricades, and two officers. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> Glen Hardy, Churches in Mission on South Indiana Street, brought a problem to <br /> the council. They have been having problems with their restroom and found they <br /> are not hooked to the sewer system. They have been paying a sewer bill since <br /> before 1997. They are asking permission to hook on to the sewer. Morz Plumbing <br /> is going to do the work and is donating it all except the labor. Churches in Mission <br /> have been paying sewer bills totaling $1,823. S possibly `31'� <br /> more since out records only go back-to 1997. Street Superintendent, Joe Beikman, <br /> said he could dye test to make sure they are not hooked on. A motion was made by <br /> Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Harris to waive the $900 <br /> connection fee. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> Attorney Currens reported to the council he was asking permission to execute an <br /> agreement with Cornerstone Grants. A motion was made by Councilman Langley <br /> to approve release of funds document seconded by Councilman Clark. Motion <br /> carried 5-0. This agreement is to show the Town is in compliance with the grant <br /> and each of the requirements under the grant has been made. Another motion was <br /> made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Clark to appoint <br /> Council President Goodwin as signatory. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> Fire Chief, Tim Medsker, reported a total of 3 54 calls in April and May. <br /> Street Commissioner, Joe Beikman, reported a rebid the paving project on Old 67 <br /> from the bridge to the curve. If the road is paved the passing lane has to come up 1 <br /> �/2 inches. Joe is waiting on a firm quote. A motion was made by Councilman <br /> Cook with a second by Councilman Clark to pave the Town's portion of the <br /> roadway. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> Street Superintendent, Joe Beil-man, added another loader bid to the list. <br /> McDonald at $100,676.00 including a $19,000 trade in. Payments would be <br /> $21,000 for five years. Councilman Langley re-stated that based on the hours of <br /> use for the current loader it could last another two to three years. The current <br /> loader is 23 years old. Joe Beikman said he was looking down the road to a time <br /> when he had to replace a dump truck and did not want to have to replace a loader <br /> at the same tune. A motion was made by Councilman Clark-with a second by <br /> Councilman Cook to commit to a new loader. Motion carried 3-2 with <br /> Councilman Langley and Councilman Goodwin opposed. <br /> Mark Taylor, Animal Control, reported nineteen (19) calls, fourteen (14) <br /> impounds, and seven (7) returns. <br />
