944 <br /> February 16, 2010 <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday,February 16, 2010, at 6:30 P. <br /> M. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br /> Council members present were: President Ryan Goodwin, John L. Clark, and Marls Harris. <br /> Tony Langley and Jeff Cook were absent. Town attorney Tim Currens was present. <br /> Council President Ryan Goodwin gave the invocation. <br /> Council President Ryan Goodwin announced Boy Scout Troop 250 was present to observe a <br /> local government meeting. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Harris to approve <br /> minutes of February 2, 2010 meeting. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> Council President Goodwin made a presidential appointment to the BZA, republican Richard <br /> Prather and a presidential appointment to the Plan Commission,republican Bev Viles. Council <br /> President Goodwin announced he had another appointment to make to the Plan Commission and <br /> it was a democrat appointment. <br /> Legal: A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Harris to <br /> approve easements to two properties at the end of Marley Woods entrance. The easements <br /> would grant the Town right of way for snow plowing. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> Town attorney Tim Currens reported he was working on the Stormwater rate issue. <br /> Tim Medsker, Fire Chief,proposed a significant event procedure for businesses and schools to <br /> notify the police and fire and possible the street department of events that would cause extra <br /> traffic and people in the town. He asked that Attorney Currens could review some information he <br /> had and maybe adopt an ordinance or resolution. Attorney Currens will take under advisement. <br /> Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor,reported nine (9) calls,two (2) impounds, and one (1) <br /> return. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Harris to approve <br /> payment of the claims. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion was made by <br /> Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Harris to adj ourn the meeting. Motion carried <br /> 3-0. <br /> The next regular scheduled meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be on T day, March <br /> 2, 2010, at 6:30 P.
