1011 <br /> October 4, 2011 <br /> The Mooresville Town Council met in regular session on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at <br /> 6:30 P. M. at the Mooresville Government Center. <br /> Council members present were: President George Watkins, Tony Langley, John L. <br /> Clark, and Mark Mathis. Councilman Jeff Cook was absent. Attorney Tim Currens was <br /> present. <br /> Council President Watkins gave the prayer. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by Councilman Clark to <br /> approve the minutes of September 20, 2011. Motion carried 4-0. . <br /> i <br /> This was a public hearing for the adoption of 2012 budget. There were no comments <br /> from the audience and no comments from the council. A motion was made by <br /> Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Langley to approve Ordinance#10, <br /> 2011 in the amount of$7,516,954.00. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Mathis to <br /> approve pay request#12 for Wilhelm Construction in the amount of$326,988.80. <br /> Motion carried 4-0. <br /> Council President Watkins made an executive appointment to the Redevelopment <br /> Commission appointing Ron Wright from the Mooresville School Board for the non- <br /> voting position. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Langley to <br /> approve payment of the claims. Motion carried 4-0. <br /> There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion was <br /> made by Councilman Clark with a second by Councilman Langley to adjourn the <br /> meeting. John L Clark and Jeff Cook were absent. Town attorney Tim <br /> Currens was present. <br /> Jim Taylor, Grace Church, gave the prayer. <br /> A motion was made by Councilman Langley with a second by Councilman Mathis to <br /> approve minutes of October 4, 2011. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> Brian from Banning Engineering had given the finalized plat copies to the council prior <br /> to the meeting. He wanted to get the plat signed off on so he can get it recorded and the <br /> Town could sell plots. A motion was made by Councilman Mathis with a second by <br /> Councilman Langley to accept the plat as is. Motion carried 3-0. Brian said there were <br /> 237 cemetery plots available. <br />
