Mooresville Board of Zoning Appeals
Minutes
Thursday September 13th, 2012
Members present: Neal Allman, Mike Young, Alan Kramer, Ann Whaley
and town attorney Tim Currens
Neal Allman called the meeting to order and called for an approval of
minutes from the previous meeting. Ann Whaley made a motion to pass the
previous minutes motion was seconded and passed unanimously. Neal
Allman called the first order of business, a variance at 11256 N Kitchen
Road. Holloway Engineering represented Mr. and Mrs Fink in the variance
request. The Fink's own a 7 acre parcel on Kitchen Road and would like to
split the property into two parcels. The property owners currently live on the
property and would like to build an additional home, the variance request
addresses the width to depth ratio. The Fink's are victims of a narrow piece
of grown, it is not used for agricultural and at times portions of the property
appear overgrown by weeds, the property split and additional home is the
best use of the property Holloway Engineering explained. Holloway
addressed the driveway as being flat terrain, 30 foot and no need to fill in or
pour over onto "lot 1". Neal Allman opened the floor to questions, there
were none from audience or the board. Neal Allman read the facts of
findings. Mike Young made a motion to pass the variance, Alan Kramer and
the variance passed 4-0. The board the signed the facts of finding from a
previous meeting regarding Slade Jones variance on Greencastle Rd as well
as the facts of findings for 11256 N Kitchen Rd, passed at this meeting. Ann
aley ,de a otion to adjourn, motion seconded and passed.
I l
Chairman / ref
fir
e retary ,.~
