Georgia Rafferty 73 W. Greencastle Road came before the Commission to ask for help
with a situation with diesel trucks being repaired in the garage behind her. She said that
the property is owned by Jerry Smith. She said that they work late at night, the fumes are
bad and the lights and noise keeps her awake. Also she complained that they would burn
trash, with flames so high that ashes were falling on people in her yard and another time
it was let it smolder over night. Also weeds and a vehicle are up against her fence. She
does not feel, that this is zoned for business. After a little more discussion, Chairman
Young asked Joe Beikman to check into the use and zoning of the property in question,
and get back to Mrs. Rafferty.
Jim VanHoy; 445 N. Indiana Street had a concern about vehicles setting in yards that are
not licensed. Mr. Currens suggested that he contact the Police Dept. and give them the
addresses in question.
With no other business a motion was made and seconded to adjourn, motion carried 6-0
with none opposed.
The next meeting of the Mooresville Planning Commission will be July 27, 2006 at the
Mooresville Town Hall.
L !
