Mr. Holloway answered if the Plan <br /> Commission wishes;they could change the overhang size. <br /> Commissioner Brown, Fire Inspector, was concerned about the cul-de-sacs turning <br /> radius. Mr. Holloway said they were 80 foot radius with a 50 foot radius at the throat. <br /> Commission Brown noted mailboxes, cars parked and trees cause a problem in the cul- <br /> de-sacs as far as fire equipment is concerned. Mr. Holloway said these meet current <br /> standards; the throat has a major impact on how fire trucks can maneuver. Commissioner <br /> Bryant asked about the total acres of common area. Mr. Holloway said possibly 8 '/z <br /> acres and 50 feet of buffering on Hadley Road. Commissioner Berwick stated he was <br /> still concerned about putting 400 more cars out on Hadley Road. <br /> Commissioner Young questioned the Architectural Control Committee. Mr. Holloway <br /> answered the developers have majority control until all lots are sold. <br /> Commissioner Ehrhart voiced a concern about a minimum driveway being 18 feet wide <br /> being too narrow for two cars side by side, they can't get out of car and still be on the <br /> concrete. He wants a minimum of 20 feet wide. Mr. Holloway said they could do that. <br /> Commissioner Bryant mentioned the picture of houses showed 100%masonry, so why <br /> did the developer go with 80%. Mr. Holloway said because probably most houses will be <br /> two stories. <br /> • Joe Beikman, Street Commissioner,told the commission there was going to be highway <br /> improvements starting in three to four months at Hadley Road and Highway 67 <br /> intersection. Mr. Holloway said they could put in the covenants that no two homes <br /> could have the same brick treatment or roof line next to each other. <br /> Commissioner Young asked why there wasn't any homeowner from Grandview present <br /> at the meeting. No one seemed to know,but Joe Beikman did state the drainage problem <br /> for Grandview will get corrected with this development. <br /> Commissioner Brown stated they needed to be insured they could do a turn around on <br /> four of the cul-de-sacs. Neitzel Rd, voiced concerns of density. <br /> This was the fourth meeting she had attended and she was also concerned with Mahoney <br /> Homes as far as quality vs. quantity, oversaturated track homes, vinyl peeling off, and <br /> houses constantly for sale. She stated the pond and playground equipment so close <br /> together was a safety issue. She did not like the idea of parking spaces at the playground. <br /> She is concerned about trespassers in back of property. Mr. Holloway stated that any <br /> custom home builder was allowed, not just Mahoney Homes. <br />
