That the strict application of the terms of the zoning ordinance <br /> <br />would constitute an unnecessary hardship if applied to the property for which <br />the variance is sought due to the business uses in the area and the proximity <br />to the same in light of the length of these lots and the alley access. <br /> <br /> 5. That the approval does not interfere substantially with the comprehensive <br />plan due to the other business uses in the area and the access through the alley <br />making this compatible. <br /> <br /> The Chairman then opened the meeting up to a motion for or against the <br />proposed variance. Warren Franklin made a motion to approve the findings of <br />fact and to grant the variance with a restriction on a sign, that being that <br />the sign shall be attached to the garage and no larger than 15 square feet in <br />size.
