Trustees present <br /> were Dick Heald, Mike Fiscus, Pat Overholser, Steve Edwards and <br /> Jack Forbes. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Mike Fiscus and second by Steve Edwards for <br /> the minutes of the January 19, 1988 meeting to be corrected to read <br /> as follows: An employee may accumulate up to two years worth of <br /> vacation days with a maximum of thirty days, with the department <br /> head to control the number of days when taken to coordinate with <br /> public service needs. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Dick Heald and second by Pat Overholser to <br /> allow employees to use the three floating holidays at their <br /> discretion with the stipulation that the floating holidays cannot <br /> be used for overtime nor can they be accumulated. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Dave Rihm requested permission for a roadblock for the Knights <br /> of Columbus for their annual Tootsie Roll Drive on Saturday, May <br /> 7, 1988. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Dick Heald and second by Steve Edwards to <br /> approve the request of the Knights of Columbus to hold a roadblock <br /> for their Tootsie Roll Drive on Saturday, May 7, 1988. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> <br /> Rick Chambers and Vickie Wright of AT&T presented to the town <br /> board a plan for a new telephone system for the town hall, police <br /> department, town court and fire department. After discussion on <br /> the matter the board decided to take the new telephone system under <br /> advisement until the next meeting. <br /> <br /> Board attorney Tim Currens suggested to the board it would be <br /> advisable to contact other telephone companies in regard to a new <br /> telephone system. <br /> <br /> Trustee Dick Heald has served as the town board representative <br /> on the Advisory Council of the school's Drug Free Program for the <br /> past year. Trustee Heald advised the board he does not have the time <br /> to continue serving in this capacity. Board President Jack Forbes is <br /> taking this appointment under advisement until the next meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
