A motion was made by Councilman Rogers with a second by Councilman Stanley to approve the bids in <br />the recommendation letter totaling $1,026,118.00. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Council President Warthen explained that the town truck Tim Bennett, Stormwater Inspector was driving <br />was totaled in an accident. There were 4 different prices to choose from. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Rogers with a second by Councilman Beikman to approve a Ford F150 truck from Andy Mohr <br />for $28,769, second lowest bid, and has eco boost. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Town Council President Warthen received a proposal from Spy Glass because they found $25,786.00 in <br />possible savings they could go after. Council President <br />Warthen is going to get more questions answered and bring back to next meeting. <br />Department Head reports: <br />Tim Medsker, Fire Chief: 150 calls with 954 for the year, Engine 11has been in the shop, and ISO has <br />graded the fire department at a 5. <br />Brent Callahan, Park Superintendent: 2 and Yz hours of Old Settlers left. <br />Mark Taylor, Animal Control: <br />17 calls 6 impounds 5 returns <br />Public Comments: Shane Williams thanked the Town Council for the enhanced communications and said <br />he appreciated all that Councilman Mathis had done for the newer website. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Rogers with a second by Councilman Beikman to approvepayment of <br />the claims in the amount of $667,705.87. Motion carried 5-0. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time a motion was made by Councilman <br />Stanley with a second by Councilman Rogers to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 5-0. <br />The next regular Town Council meeting will be on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at 6:30 P.
