<br />Bob Geiger gave the Commission a list of ideas for changes in Town Ordinances. <br /> <br />Banning Engineering presented Preliminary Plat Approval for 23 acres comer of Bridge Street <br />and Highway 67. The Plat included Walgreens on one comer of Fields Street and Gas station, <br />convenience store and carwash on the other comer of Fields Street. The first entrance to be 415 <br />feet from center of Highway 67. The plat showed a 15,000 square foot building for Wa1greens <br />with 100 parking spaces. Motion was made by Commissioner McGuire, second by <br />Commissioner Bennett to approve Preliminary Plat to include letter from Mooresville Town <br />Council dated 10-29-99 and to require a light at intersection of Fields Street and Bridge Street. <br />Motion carried 6- I. Commissioner Pygman opposed. <br /> <br />Next, Alan Kramer requested approval for 2 lot minor plat for John Morz, West High Street. <br />The tech committee moved south line of Lot I north to miss existing garage by six feet. Mr. <br />Morz wants to retain his commercial building and sell the home. Employee parking is off alley <br />on the side of the building (2 spaces ), I space in front, and behind the building there is room to <br />park 2 trucks. Motion was made by Commissioner Pygman, second by Commissioner Young to <br />approve the 2 lot minor plat with variances, if necessary, to be sought. Motion carried 7-0. <br /> <br />Ross Holloway of Holloway & Associates presented a replat for reduction of easement for <br />Hopwood-Pioneer Country Estates. The purpose for replat is to change location of drainage <br />easement on East side of existing lake. Motion was made by Commissioner McGuire, second by <br />Commissioner Marshall to approve revised plat. Motion carried 7-0. <br /> <br />Ross Holloway presented a three lot minor plat for Lots 23 and 24 of Hillcrest Subdivision <br />owned by Ross Jones. These lots were platted in 1954. Frontage of Lot 23 is 130 feet and Lot <br />24 is 161 feet. Lots 1 & 2 of this minor plat would be 12,000 square feet and Lot 3 would be <br />15,540 square feet on the comer. Mr. Jones wants to build 1200 square foot homes. Penny <br />Mayes, 34 Victor Drive, a real estate agent, told the Commission the homes range from 1400 to <br />2000 square feet in size. She said only three are less than 1400 square feet, but they had full <br />basements. Doug Allen, Victor Drive, told the Commission 116 foot frontage was the smallest <br />and there were 10 lots in this range. Also, there were 20 lots larger than 127 foot frontage. Cliff <br />Petty and Danny Allen both spoke opposed to three lots instead of two. Commissioner Ehrhart <br />said from the Commissions point of view, they were looking at an overall big reduction in lot <br />sizes in the area. Motion was made by Commissioner Bennett, second by Commissioner <br />Pygman to deny petition because it does not confonn constistently to other part of subdivision. <br />Motion carried 7-0. <br /> <br />Mundy Realty appeared before the Commission with an amendment to plat for Marsh Foods. <br />David George, Insight Engineering told the Commission Hopkins Drive will align with their <br />drive and a small detention area had been located in back of Marsh to get fill dirt from. They <br />request pennission for a kiosk for a gas station with four dispensers, inside the kiosk, cigarettes, <br />gum, and other small items would be available for purchase. Motion was made by <br />Commissioner McGuire, second by Commissioner Marshall to approve amendment to plat. <br />Motion carried 7-0. <br />
