<br />-' <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Ms. Signe Nicholson stated that the development of the comprehensive plan <br />considered the appearance of this higlùy visable parcel of land and in her <br />opinion the proposed P.U.D. - C does not adhere to the plan. <br />Mr. Lenny Hayes, Vice President of Real Estate for Marsh Supermarkets, <br />explained to the Commission that he had listened to all the concerns of the <br />people which had addressed the Commission; however, he is convinced that this <br />parcel of land is best suited for this development because of its location. <br />Mr. George Smi th, owner of this parcel of land, advised the Commission <br />that he feels that the proposed zoning change is the best and highest use <br />for this property. <br />The application for Mundy Realty for P.U.D. - C was reviewed and determined <br />to be in compliance with the filing criteria for a rezone application. <br />Charles McGuire moved that the request by Mundy Realty, Inc. does <br />not agree with the Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Mooresville and that <br />the recoßlIlendation of the Plan Commission would be to deny this request. <br />Motion was second by Joel Beebe. Motion carried 9 - O. <br />Attorney Mark Peden appeared before the Mooresville Plan Commission repre- <br />senting the Swinney Brothers requesting a P.U.D. - R for Collett Meadows, Section II <br />on Landersdale Road. Mr. Peden informed the Commission that the P.U.D. - R included <br />diversity in the house sizes restricting 16% of the houses to less than 1,100 <br />square feet and 37% of the houses will be more than 1,200 square feet. <br />Mr. Roy Weaver, 794 Landersdale Road asked the Conrnission if the fire <br />flows will be adequate for this development. Mr. Swinney, the developer, <br />assured Mr. Weaver that there is adequate fire flow for the development. <br />Motion was made by Bill Abbott, second by Charles McGuire to recommend <br />to the Mooresville Town Council the approval of the proposed rezoning of <br />Collett Meadows, Section II from AG to P.U.D. - R subject to the itemized <br /> <br />3 <br />
