Mr. George Cochran, <br /> <br />also a Marsh representative, presented the Commission with plans <br /> <br />showing they would like to have a Marsh store, a Village Pantry <br />and some type of fast food restaurant at this location. <br /> <br />Mr. Steve Fairbuck, á traffic engineer, appeared before the <br />Commission on behalf of Marsh explaining how the proposed changes <br /> <br />to State Road 144 would affect traffic. Mr. Fairbuck explained <br /> <br />that traffic flow is rated A through F, (with A being the best), <br /> <br />and that Marsh's plans for the intersections would be rated a <br /> <br />B or better. Mr. Fairbuck explained that currently the intersection <br /> <br />at State Road 144 and State Road 67 was rated a C. Mr. Fairbuck <br /> <br />also reported the peak hours were between 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. <br />in the morning and 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the evening. He <br />explained that with the Marsh store there would be 28 extra cars <br />in the morning peak hours and 200 extra cars in the evening peak <br />hours. Mr. Fairbuc~ also informed the Commission that with the <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />convenience store there would be 230 extra cars in the morning <br /> <br />peak hours and 260 extra cars in the evening peak hours. It was <br /> <br />also reported that in March of 93' a total of 766 cars came through <br />during the morning peak hours and a total of 1,226 cars came through <br />during the evening peak hours. Mr. Fairbuck explained that he <br /> <br />based his findings on land use, trips per hour per square foot. <br /> <br />Commission member Abbott asked that a letter be brought <br /> <br />before the Commission explaining the levels of service at each <br /> <br />intersection when the proposed plans for State Road 144 were finished. <br />Mr. Abbott also asked that a five (5) year projection for traffic <br />be brought before the Commission. <br /> <br />4 <br />
