<br />Commission member Charles McGuire asked Mr. Cochran how big <br /> <br />'--' <br /> <br />the Marsh store in Plainfield was and if Marsh was actually <br /> <br /> <br />planning on bringing in a "Marsh" supermarket. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Cochran replied that the Marsh superstore in Plainfield <br /> <br /> <br />was 40,000 square feet, but he was unable to tell the Commission <br /> <br /> <br />if a "Marsh" supermarket was coming into Mooresville. Mr. Cochran <br /> <br /> <br />informed the Commission that he would bring someone in who would <br /> <br /> <br />know what the store would be. <br /> <br /> <br />Ann Whaley, 142 E. Washington Street, appeared before the <br /> <br /> <br />Commission wanting to know how the Marsh representatives planned <br /> <br /> <br />on relieving the traffic on the west bound side of the intersection <br /> <br /> <br />of St. Rd. 67., <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Fisher, of Melton Packard and Associates explained they <br />had no plans at this time. <br />'--' <br /> <br />Mr. Chip Wilson, 651 Springmill Drive, explained that he felt <br />the traffic situation was only going to get worse without the Marsh <br />people's plans for adjusting State Road 144 to accommodate more <br />traffic. <br />Ms. Cindy Norton, of Carpenter Realty, explained that she <br />sometimes had to wait for ten (10) minutes to get onto State Road 144 <br />after leaving the Carpenter office. Ms. Norton explained that she <br />felt these plans may relieve some of the traffic problems on <br />State Road 144. <br />Building Inspector Joe Beikman asked how Marsh planned on <br />maintaining the road, or if they would be dedicating it to the town. <br />Motion was made by Steve Edwards to continue the hearing for <br />the B-3 Rezone and preliminary plat until the August 26, 1993 <br /> <br />5 <br />
