,

Dan Robinson questioned whether or not an area which is currently

proposed I-Industrial could later be changed to R-1 residential as it

'---

was across state road 42.

Lyle Robinson then questioned whether or

not the northern boundaries of the buffer zone were extended as far as

possible.

He was advised that the town would not extend the buffer

zone past the County Line Road at this point and had no authority to

do so by statute without certain agreements being made through Hendricks

County.

Horace Adams questioned the South Street area as proposed business

on the §outh side and residential on the north side.

Signe Nicholson

'--'

advised that the business uses naturally grow and expand and to accommodate

them you must allow them to encroach upon some residential areas. She

stated that a street is frequently a good buffer so houses are not

looking out the back door in to a business rather having a street as

the buffer. Horace Adams stated that the Comprehensive Plan proposal

was purely judgmental and that the action taken on the South Street

area would displace residential uses which was unfair to those people

who live in the area. He objected to having one side left residential

and one side business. Marion Adams also questioned the Bethel Road

and Crosby Road area as I-Industrial.

Larry Tooley at 4ll Conduit Woods then addressed the board as the

president of the Marleywoods Homeowners Association.

He questioned

why the Field's property across Bridge Street from Marleywoods was set

out as business in the Comprehensive Plan.

He felt like the rezoning

of the property across 67 was an infringement upon the Marleywood

Subdivision and this was amplifying it. He felt the subdivision was

a nice quiet improvement to the town and the business uses would

~-

interfere with that.

He would like to see the area south of Bridge

-4-
