Mr.
Chandler stated that sometimes his wife cuts his hair on Sunday
and one or two of the beauticians will cut the hair of family
members on Sunday. He also advised that the suntanning beds were
used by employees after hours on some occasions but the doors were
locked.
Tim Currens then advised the Chandlers that the purpose of
the variance was to restrict the character of the use after 9:00

p.m. to a residential use. Signe

Nicholson stated that if the property was zoned properly it could

do so; however, the variance places these restrictions on it.

Judy Chandler of 357 N. Home Avenue then addressed the Board and

had a question concerning the operators meeting at the property on

Sunday to go to business activities together. The Board's

Attorney advised that this type of use is for business purposes;

however, whether or not it would be a violation of the variance

would depend on the regularity of this type of activity. Kia

Short stated that they had had problems with other people using

-3-
