<br />~ <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />''-.- <br /> <br />The next item to come before the Board was under old <br />business, the review of the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning <br />Ordinance as proposed. Robert Tucker initiated the conversation <br />and pointed out that page 17 of the proposed plan seemed <br />inconsistent with the sewer problems within the Town that had been <br />discussed over the past few weeks. Signe Nicholson stated that <br />this was not inconsistent because the Plan Commission found the <br />Redevelopment Plan and Resolution to be consistent with the <br />proposed Master Land Use Plan. The Board's Attorney advised that <br />this was not the case, since the Plan Commission had only found <br />that the Resolution of the Redevelopment Commission and the <br />Redevelopment Plan conformed to the plan of development for the <br />Town and not specifically with the proposed Master Land Use Plan <br />or the existing one. Bob Tucker suggested that the current sewer <br />system was not in the best of condition although the plant was <br />operating and functioning properly. He suggested this change. A <br />suggestion was also made to change the plant capacity from the 65% <br />set out in the plan to 80% capacity currently. Joe Beikman stated <br />that these figures were more consistent to the plant capacity as <br />of January 1990. Joe stated that this information was obtained <br />from Steve Orme, the sewage treatment plant superintendent. These <br /> <br /> <br />changes were noted. Robert Tucker also had a question concerning <br /> <br /> <br />the policy set out on page 20, paragraphs 1 and 7. In particular, <br /> <br /> <br />he wanted to know whether or not these should be combined. The <br /> <br /> <br />Board's Attorney stated that he felt these were separate issues <br /> <br /> <br />and that the committee intended them to be. Chairperson Nicholson <br /> <br /> <br />stated that was her understanding also and felt that they should <br /> <br />-5- <br />
